A Ring Designed by the Groom

This was such a lovely commission to work on as the ring was designed for a romantic proposal by the groom himself. He knew exactly what he wanted – he just needed our help to bring it to life.

As you can see from the pictures we sketched some designs from the initial brief before creating a mock-up of the mount in silver. Once the gent had approved the mount our team set about replicating it in 18ct white gold and setting all the diamonds.

This modern version of a classic diamond double makes a spectacular engagement ring and the story has a happy ending of course!

The groom went on to have the silver mock up ring set with cubic zirconia so the lady could have a less valuable stand in just in case! Hows that for forward thinking?!

Diamond Engagement Ring

Sometimes people know exactly what they want they just can’t find it within their financial means despite exhaustive searching. This was the case with a young man who came to us with a picture from a magazine and a budget of £1,500.

He knew what he wanted he just couldn’t afford the ‘High Street’ price tag. The Goldmarket team rose to the occasion as usual! After researching all the options, we were able to produce this stunning 18ct white gold art deco style diamond engagement within budget. By cleverly using a diamond from our stock and a semi set mount to set it into, we saved him approx £3,000.00 much to the delight of our customer. Needless to say the lady in question accepted his proposal of marriage with a big fat ‘YES’!

Watch movement cufflinks

We were commissioned to make these stunning cufflinks by a serving solider who wanted something a little bit different. The Tissot watch movement cufflinks were a prototype for The Goldmarket team and as ever they worked their magic.

The cufflinks were created using top quality, sterling silver swivel backs for ease of use and the watch movement with winder are in full working order. Since this pair we have gone on to make a variety of watch movement cufflinks for other customers using different brands of watch. They have become a popular and novel choice!

Boodles Ring

Have you ever seen that dream piece of jewellery from the top designer houses that you lust after but you just cant justify the price tag? Well that’s exactly what happened when this customer had their heart set on a Boodles ring that was simply out of their price range.

Our talented Master jeweller recreated the iconic ring making an exact replica to include the same diamond weight, colour and clarity…..the same shank dimensions and build quality. The finished piece was a third of the price of the original Boodles ring and what’s even better is this fantastic cocktail ring was created specifically to order!

Golf Ball Markers fit for a Pro

We were delighted to be asked to produce this diamond set, solid silver golf ball marker for Andy O’Sullivan of the Ryder Cup Team. Our jeweller Matt created the piece which is engraved on one side with his logo and on the other side with the names of his daughters.

This is just one of many gold ball markers that The Goldmarket jewellers have now been commissioned to make having previously made them in both solid silver and solid gold. The perfect gift for the golfing fanatic.

Blue Sapphire and Diamond Pendant

When it comes to re-creating a beautiful piece of jewellery The Goldmarket team have it covered! Take this beautiful commission that we recently undertook for a client. Our customer bought in an imitation pendant that she wanted made with real diamonds and Kashmir blue sapphires but in a yellow gold setting.

The first element was for our designer to produce the sketches until we had created the client’s vision on paper. Once she was happy with the designs and dimentions we then brought in a range of sapphires and diamonds for her to personally select from. Once this stage was completed, our master jeweller set to work and brought to life the piece that you see pictured here. As you can imagine the client was delighted.
